The Mr always knows how to photograph Hito because I love every photo of this boy that I put into the shop. Hito in this sweater is <3 Anyway, finally made a shop update this evening. Several sweaters are now added to the shop. I actually have a small pile of sweaters that never made it to the con that will be put up shortly as well… And I think I also have some YoSD shorts. So look for more updates soon.

Dragged a few of the boys out to have them model a few sweaters for an etsy order that I hope to make this week (waiting for the photos at the moment). I was shocked to see how many sweaters I had actually knitted for Ota. For some reason I wasn’t really keep track and just kept knitting along. I was in a bit of a panic when chaos was going on until I saw the pile of sweaters I need to finish and tag… then it just got overwhelming. Sold quite a few thankfully but there are some left over from the show. Again, Daisuke in pants cracks me up and Hito in that striped sweater<3. That boy is the biggest problem when it comes to me letting those sweaters go. Pfffff… he has too many.

Messing around with hyperbolic crocheting and lace weight yarns. This is what I came up with. Little rosette (or coral) brooches for the little guys. More photos behind the cut if you want to see them being worn. More»

So the sweater is officially finished. I’m so happy with the end results. The Mr was so kind enough this evening to take some evening shots of Hito in his new sweater in our yard. Over sized brick wall and creepy decaying Pan statue… but what ever. Hito hasn’t had this much attention in a while and it’s totally deserving. He looks lovely<3

Staying up way to late watching shows on Netflix and knitting tiny shorts (almost finished). Sweater was finished and since it was too late to get any decent photos out of my real camera (if you can call it that) I decided to get silly ones with my cell phone. Hito looks rather moody in that last one… but if you look closely you can kind of see the little owls. My plan tomorrow is to take more detailed photos of the sweater. I may attempt this one in Yo-size for Haru. I think it would suit him nicely.

I’m updating this here this evening due to some amubleu.com issue… which I will get into in a moment. Last night I had made a post on the daily blog about picking Hito’s “owl” sweater up again. The post is gone from the main site but can still be seen here. Anyway, after work and before going any further I decided to squeeze Hito into the sweater. So far so good. I’m really happy with how it’s finishing. I had mentioned not looking forward to the short rows. Mainly for the fact I was under the impression that they were more for decreasing than shaping but it’s the opposite(I really need to read directions before I start these things). It’s really to raise the neckline up… so… since this style is a bit more feminine than I wanted I’m skipping the short rows and going for more of a scooped or relaxed style neckline. If it was for me or for a female doll I would normally go for it. Instead I’m going to go right into the ribbing and hope for the best. I’m going to mark this last row before starting in case I change my mind.

So amubleu.com was a bit buggy last night. The Mr did a great job fixing the problems but by accident deleted the last post (it’s still on LJ so I am totally fine with that… and he saved well over 800+ old posts). Towards the end of the month the Mr is going to move all of the web sites over to GoDaddy. This site wont be affected but amubleu.com and my email will. So before he starts anything I’ll be sure to contact people with my gmail and or aol addresses. In the end it will all be worth it and I know that the Mr will do an awesome job. I would be totally clueless and helpless with out him when it comes to web stuff. I am terribly grateful.

Not sure what is up with everyone today. Things started out great up until I got home from work and then news from all sources have been a bit a bummer. Some personal, some not. I think people’s responses towards them have been strong and super negative. Not helping my mood much. I tend to be a glass half full type of person… so what gives people. Maybe it’s the horrible weather we’ve been getting this week. I know it’s gotten to me. Thinking of things to swing my mood around.

Besides the Mr and the pug (one was out playing the DnD this evening and other was a sleep under the kotatsu… can you guess which was doing what?) the two things that seem to get me out of a bad mood are Hito and a little New Order. You wouldn’t know it but it’s rather fitting. Aki is my music boy but if there was one type of music Hito loves, it would be some late 70’s early 80’s New Wave. He’s such an odd boy<3 If you ever wanted to see him break into a sweat ask him what's his favorite New Order song. It's a decision he prefers not to make(I would feel the same)... until I twist his arm... which isn't hard since he's ball jointed and all. Anyway, here were his choices: New Order: Ceremony

New Order: Temptation

New Order: Perfect Kiss

This last is a mix of 80’s electric sounds… digital frogs people… how can that not be awesome? Anyway, I thought he chose well.

By the way, this may or may not work for my LJ friends… if that’s the case you’re going to have to travel over to ol’ poisonbleu to have a listen.

deep v in plum

So I think I finally found a color for Aki. The color is called blackcurrant and it’s a deep dark plum. Finally. When I was at Neko Muffin asked if I had ever tried making a deeper cut v-neck. When I first went into making the v-neck style I did have a deep v-neck in mind. Because, you know, I love me some v-necks and the deeper the better (I think I have this slight fondness for the neck, collar bone and shoulder area, if you can’t tell by now. Pilates you scarred me for life). The first attempt was a total failure. So I went back and shortened it a bit. After the con when this particular yarn came in I thought I would give it a go. I had a better understanding this time around and I think it worked out. It’s hard to tell in the photo (this yarn is also extra fuzzy and my photo skills are… crap) but the collar really hugs his chest and shoulders. More so than the shorter “v”. I’m happy and Aki has his sweater. This one isn’t completely finished (the ends need to be woven in) but when it is I’ll take proper photos.

Uh I kind of said in my last post that the next few would be Aki-centric. Here is a little Hito and Aki to mix it up a bit

I wanted to give these photos a little bit of a vintage feel… or whatever you call it-_-,. The two together crack me up though. Hito looks a bit irritated in the first photo. I could have been taking too long to take the photo or Aki said something offensive.

hito in black

Today started out quiet with me treating myself to a pretty awesome breakfast at Spoon, sewing limbs to princes, having a Hell Girl marathon (totally glued to this series… thank you netflix) and weaving in threads on t-shirts. It ended with the Mr treating me to an even more awesome dinner (shime saba….nom nom nom), more Hell Girl, and some way overdue time spent with Hito. Despite the crap-tacular camera I have and the original plan behind the photos (totally changed once I got going) I always seem to fall even more for this boy when I take the time out to photograph him<3. He’s trying on a new design this evening. I wasn’t sure how the neckline was going to turn out but I’m quite happy with it. Black normally isn’t a color he wears. It’s doesn’t seem to suit his personality but he does look quite nice in this outfit. The outfit looks like something Aki would make him wear if they were leaving the house together (Hito would most likely throw on a pair of cropped old man pants, a long sleeved t-shirt or sweater and a pair of geta… just so he wouldn’t have to wear socks-_-). The batch of shirts I’m making for Neko will be bleached out (this fabric bleaches amazingly well). For Hito I’m keeping this one black. It wasn’t the plan but that is how it’s going to be. By the way, the pants are from an Ajumapama set I purchased some time last month. I normally don’t go for sets but I really liked this one and I was able to split the items between Hito and Aki. No items wasted or needing to be sold. I need to photograph the whole thing together at least once since it’s a lovely set. I’m going now. Tomorrow my work week begins and I have a ton to do there and at home to get my butt ready for Neko. So much to do…

…pardon my little PS frou frou’ing aka: pretending to know what I’m doing(not).

I’m still alive and well. Took a vacation of sorts (I really hate summer). Just to keep everyone up to date, I added two new boys to the group of boys (see above). Now there is nine (though reading the blog you would think I only had two to start off O_o). Dolpa was fantastic (I have photos I swear). Otakon was a blast but seriously wiped me out. I’m getting the hint that as I get older I need more sleep to function. In between it all were some fun meets.
