But Daisuke… They look so cute on you!!!

Daisuke and his mittens<3 We have had two snow days here in Baltimore so far yet by the time I’ve gotten a free moment to take out door photos of Daisuke in his mittens the snow had been completely melted. Hopefully I’ll get another chance this winter.

Today’s theme on my tumbr dash seemed to have been the fantastic thing known as the Kotatsu… so I figured I would go ahead and post these photos. More»

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since my last post (even longer on my not so daily blog). I’m alive and well. Things are going lovely at the moment. Work is just crazy busy (good kind of crazy) and so much so that I was given an opportunity to take on a rather large time consuming job to work on durning my free time. I will talk about this one else where because it was super challenging, I am rather proud of it and other than the casting and mold making part, it doesn’t really relate to bjds or this blog. So that on top of commissions I had taken on right before accepting the job, I was a busy girl.

I hate coming up with post titles sometimes.
Daisuke in a new kimono and haori (I’m slowly losing count on how many he has now). I purchased it off of ebay from a seller and artist that turned out to be from MD. Won the auction on saturday and got it on tuesday!
I really wanted it for the haori. It looked lovely in the auction pictures. The rest of the set looked a bit too purple at the time and maybe too feminine for what I wanted for him but handmade… local. I’m sold. When I got it I just fell in love with the entire set. It’s so gorgeous and it’s perfect on Daisuke’s lanky SDgr body. He will be wearing this set quite often.

Daisuke setting up the cards to play a leisurely evening game with Mr Z. Mr Z is about to lose a lot of money… This is something he is quite familiar with.

An order from Tata that I placed, um… well over a month ago (the week after Ota to be exact) finally came in. Daisuke and Mr Z (…who isn’t even here yet) have new yukata and a set of hanafuda cards.

That auction I mentioned a post ago ends tomorrow while I’m at the farmers market (thank goodness for smart phones). So far so good, though I don’t think that will last.

Dragged a few of the boys out to have them model a few sweaters for an etsy order that I hope to make this week (waiting for the photos at the moment). I was shocked to see how many sweaters I had actually knitted for Ota. For some reason I wasn’t really keep track and just kept knitting along. I was in a bit of a panic when chaos was going on until I saw the pile of sweaters I need to finish and tag… then it just got overwhelming. Sold quite a few thankfully but there are some left over from the show. Again, Daisuke in pants cracks me up and Hito in that striped sweater<3. That boy is the biggest problem when it comes to me letting those sweaters go. Pfffff… he has too many.

I don’t know why I thought this was so humorous. It started out as something like me being product and turned into something else entirely. Yesterday Miss Seijikat asked if I could do a Volks skin tone comparison and I figured I would drag my two School boys, Daisuke and Akihiro out from their thrones to use as my example (Dai-kun being NS and Aki being WS). It cracks me up how different these boys look despite the fact that they are the same exact sculpt just one having his eyes modded (reason 248 on why I love this hobby). Lazily I just scrunched up Aki’s sweater and removed the arms from the sleeves and Daisuke is doing one of those one sleeve kimono deals as if he was a yakuza grabbing a deck of hanafuda to do a little gambling. Got my shots and did some terrible editing. Then walked away leaving the boys in this position, facing the back of the couch.
